I got hacked and i havent played maple for 2weeks due to exams. when i went to recover my pic it said someone had already changed it on the 30th of october. How the hell did they hack me if i havent typed in any account info. They took all my stuff. If anyone can help me get back on my feet it will be greatly appreciated Edit: btw im in scania. I just changed a few weeks ago but i dont know how to update my basil id

Technically, the way most people get hacked now is when your ign,user id, pass, and email are similar to an account you made in a public forums like basilmarket. where hackers hack into and steal info unnoticed, use the info and hope it right. example: ID of your basil account or character name can be your maple account password: is similair to ur maple password email: similar to maple email and same with password of email. most of ur personal info can be logged in on the forums site database. so if they got ur email, id, and personal info even tho your pic and pass are not the same. you can still get hacked.

if you get keylogged it take much time b4 the hacker read and check the info/pw/pin of your account even if he got many trojan or keylog

im seriously thinking there is something wrong with the nexon security system now, a LOT of people have been hacked lately, and the strange thing is, you need the last name and birthdate for the pic reset (i think) and obviously that would be hard to get

when i went to reset my PIC it automatically sent a email i didnt need to provide a last name or birthday just had to login on my account.

well I would say start in a new world, all my stuff was stolen in Galicia. So I started again in Bera I recommend making a character that spends less money at a low lvl like TB or Pirate going to Brawler. Then when you do the subani's quest and get 7m to start you off.

I got hacked around a year and a half ago, and I quit ever since. I only recently came back and I'm also getting back on my feet. I lost a good Red Katana and Attack Shield. ._. (AND a bunch of other equips and un-replaceables) I got hacked around July 20th, and I heard that around the time I was getting hacked, a bunch of other 4th jobbers were getting hacked. I can't remember what I heard, but they could get your info quite easily by some sort of method, even if you didn't log on for a long time. (I didn't log on before I got hacked for two weeks or more) But I hope you the best dude, I know how you feel. ;=; Good luck getting back.
