To all basilmarket users, I would like to suggest a new form of trading. Motivation for new form of trading: a. Difficult and sometimes impossible to meet up with trading partners on Maple Story,which may be due to difference in time zones and various other reasons. b. The market is inflated and difficult for beginners to purchase items within their levels of accomplishment as they become stronger. c. How effective is the (positive feedback versus negative feedback)? d. Certain characters increase the prices during the transaction to receive more mesos. Situation: Thanks to the new patch 0.33 that came out, a character called Bill allows a character to courier an item or meso for a small transaction fee (5K) to a character in Maple Story. Solution: If two players finished a transaction through Basil Market, then the user who has the least amount of positive feedbacks should send either the item or mesos to the other player first. The receiving player should verify the item or mesos and also send either item or mesos to complete the transaction. What does this solve? The difference in time zone is no longer an issue as players should be able to receive an item within a day to two days. As the process becomes easier, less people will spend time to shop at Free Market because the prices are much more expensive compared to Basil's Market. If this is possible then the overall market price per item will decrease. As customers, we are paying for quick Free Market's service similar to real life as we purchase an item from a store. An alternative method is to purchase the same item at lower price through the internet. Lastly, the positive feedbacks and negative feedbacks will become essential before people commit to a transaction. People with a single negative feedbacks will be disregarded in future trades due to poor behaviour or illegal trade actions. This in return will build a more respectful Maple Story trading community. The characters that disobey the respectful manner will pay for higher price items and eventually be removed from the Maple Story society. Conclusion and practicality: It is a theoretical idea. If this is to be implemented, Basil Market can crease an auction area for sell / buy through courier and also a rating for sell / buy through courier using Bill. This may be more hassle for Basil Maket in design, but once implemented will render the traditional trade obselete. An alternative option, is to allow the seller to have an option while posting a sell on Basil that tells the buyer that the item that they request must be done through the courier system. FAQ. q1. Why would I trade an expensive item (ie. a Godly item) through this method? a1. If the theory takes flight and turned into practice, I suggest people to do small trades (100K or less) through Bill to build up a reputation. It's a good idea, I have to agree, but it's hard to trust somebody on the other side.. Say if you're buying an arund for 80M, it's hard to just put it in and hope the arund will be in your inventory the next day.

This won't work because of the trust factor, i trust no-one on-line nobody tells the truth 100% and this will easily open the doors to scamming. I for one will never use the Bill system when doing a trade through basil even if the other guy has +10000000 feedback.

I would never do it. The person who is recieving it first could just say s/he didn't recieve it. Then how are you going to prove that they did. I'd stick with meeting them and trading with them in person because there is no way of messing that up really. Although sometimes you will aways get the occasional noob trying to get more money. The most annoying one so far is one im still trying to meet. everytime I find him online and arrange to meet him he either logs off or doesn't bother meeting me.

yes, trust is an issue in maple. to trust or no trust. i've learned not to trust. i've been scammed twice badly by people who are very sly. lol.

pple will start making fake basil ID's with fake feedback and start doing stuff...scammers find ANY loophole in ANY system v.v unfortunatley
