How do you defeat the "flashing screen of death"?

My screen flashes repeatedly followed by dc. I get this more frequently in the fm and dojo. i find this so annoying when i am using rep and then waste it when i dc. How do i keep this from happening?

Windows Vista or win7? Yea, you cant stop it. The only way to fix it is to download xp on another partition.

ah i do have windows 7. i always thought it was my internet connection too. because it only happens sometimes, there was a long period of time where i havent dced for about two weeks then it comes back again and happens more regularly. i usually stop playing for a while when this happens because i hate it.

You can't really stop it. I usually just have to wait it out .Sometimes though if i hold esc it will stop flashing for a few seconds.

i dont have this probelm unless i minimze ms and it stops responding when try to maximize it i would say use task manager and close it faster nothing you can do once it flashes

Happens to me alot. I use Vista Ultimate. I lose FM door spots and pro dojo parties...

It only happens to me when my screen is maximized. Completely stops if I go into windowed view. Then again, I'm on XP.

i have vista and have that problem when i leave maple on overnight O_o how to stop it... make a 2nd admin account on your computer then i think it was either task manager or from the windows menu through the blazing flashes where you can log off your account then sign in on 2nd, open task manager, press "Show processes from all users", then select Maplestory and "End Process"

I have this problem and I use Vista. Since Task Manager doesn't even pop up, I just unplug my computer. DIE DIE DIE It doesn't matter anyway since I'm getting a brand new laptop for college in several months. =D
