Well I was talking someone and they told me that I was moronic and ignorant for being a hybrid DK. She also said I would be doing less damage. Is this true?

After Big Bang, you'll get a mastery skill for both Pole Arm and Spear. Don't worry.

You would do less damage but you would train much faster. And after big bang it doesnt matter anymore, so just stay Hybrid!

you train faster than if you used a pa than a spear, cause of fury. you get an sp reset for BB, so thats out of the question. if you go hybrid, you train faster from 70-120, and you can maximize damage at lvl 120+ with spear crusher. the person who told you whatever is stupid.

It's known that Hybrids level a lot faster than Pure from 3rd-4th. Then 4th job hits, and they can switch weapons and they'll automatically be on equal playing fields with Pures. There's nothing to lose going Hybrid.

Go with hybrid. Training is extremely speedy, and once you reach a certain level, you'll switch up into spear for better training + stronger attacks. So in terms of leveling and end game power, hybrid. Extra: After big bang, just go full spear since you'll be a higher level by then (hopefully) like 120+ lets say... and you won't need your pole arm skills anymore and can put it into new/different skills.

T_________T What you are doing when you go Hybrid DrK is sacrificing Iron Will (20 w def, 20 m def) and FA (which does not trigger on any 3rd job skill AKA Crusher and Fury), which are totally useless to max out both Masteries and both Boosters of Spear and PA. Since you will slash more than you stab, you use a PA in 2nd job since your main training skills are Slash Blast and Power Strike. Slash:Stab ratio is 3:2. Also, in 3rd job as a Hybrid DK you will max out PA Fury first for TRAINING. This is the incredibly LONG RANGED PA SWING that mobs 6 monsters at the same time. You don't use Spear Fury as a main attack for training since SLASHING a Spear will cut your damage by a significant amount. A Pure Spear DK will max out Spear Crusher to train, which has shorter range and is a bit slower than Fury. Also, Crusher only hits 3 monsters at the same time. This is not good.. since what happens if you kill monsters with 1 Crusher? That's the end game for training on that monster with Crusher. With Fury even if you do not 1 hit monsters you will still lure them, as Fury is faster, hits twice the amount of monsters, and is longer ranged than Crusher. You would need to keep walking around Crushering monsters, while the Hybrid DK lures and kills mobs at the same time. A Hybrid DK never stops attacking while training, because of the long range, better spammability and hitting 6 mobs at a time. Pure Spear using Crusher to train will need to get closer to the monster to attack with Crusher, because of smaller range and 1 hitting 3 mobs at a time. Pure Spear's bossing damage will be better than a Hybrid DK before Hybrid DK maxes out PA Fury, and then goes on to max out Spear Crusher and Spear Fury. -IMPORTANT- AFTER 4TH JOB YOU TRAIN WITH SPEAR CRUSHER + RUSH AS A MAIN ATTACK AT TOT AND SKELE BECAUSE OF LOW SPAWNS

Crusher doesn't hit 3 mobs till lvl 74. Fury swings faster. Crusher hits multiple times per swing. Fury is good when hitting 6+ mobs. Crusher is good when hitting 3+ mobs. Fury isn't good when not hitting 6+ mobs. Crusher is good against 1 target. I lvled from 70-90+ in a week using pure spear, the only lvls hybrid are relevant are before 70. Now you don't seem to know what you are saying. 1. You also can't max either Elemental Resistance, Sacrifice or Spear Fury, if you take PA Fury. Sacrifice is good for maintaining zerk. Spear Fury is a nice finish move against mobs who dont need another crusher. Elemental Resistance isn't as good, but still. 2. If you know how to control a DK the range on crusher is not a problem aswell when training you can use Fury(spear) to mob just as well losing 40% dmg on one attack is better than 40% on 3 atks. If you are 1 hitting with Crusher it means time to move on to new mobs. |

above you, sweetie, have got everything wrong. TS should go hybrid. Sacrifice is unecessary. Elemental resistance is incredibly important. You will have maxed spear fury has a hybrid. And lvls 30-130 are the most beneficial levels to being a hybrid. If you had gone hybrid, you would be at fourth job already. Control has nothing to do with the attack range and distance of your weapon. Ts, don't listen to your friends. They are idiotic for calling you an idiot for going hybrid. You will NOT do less damage than a pure. Pure and hybrid builds are not taken for damage, but for training speed. Being hybrid simply allows more versatility in training/ bossing situations. yanseen words of a drk pro <3 read.
