Why do High level Palyers dress like Noobs?

I've been curious about this for a while now, I notice alot of high level players dress like their level 30 and such. Why is this?

For example, if 1 person with Godly equips can only get to level 127, while another who was unfunded with unscrolled/unpotentialed equips can get to 160+, who would be more pro? The person who does damage or the person who was unfunded. IMO: Pro = 90+

That's the problem. You're assuming proness has to do with a person's level, which it doesn't. Let's say I give my little brother a level 175 Paladin. That doesn't make him pro. Why? He knows nothing about the character or the game. You can be level 180 or any level you want to be, but that doesn't make you pro. It's the knowledge that you have that makes a person pro. After all, money can get you anything, such as the illusion of being pro, but it doesn't get you the knowledge required to be pro. How do you know that level 150 or 160 didn't just buy their character from someone else, lacking necessary knowledge to properly use the character?

Pro is short for professional. Like AndWoos said, it has nothing to do with levels. It's experience and knowledge.

I find lower level equipment brings back memories and I enjoy reminiscing, ya know? And I feel that they also look better(I like simple things, I find complex art irritating). In other terms, I find a white t-shirt better looking than a Lvl100 equip.

there is no "pro" in maplestory. There is only people who think they are pro. you can get everything in this game by using RL money. and for the knowledge, It's ALL on the internet. just google what you need and you know it. you don't need to be lvl 16x to know how google works O.o the main reason why I wear noob clothes is because I really hate the beggars and I used to have a 14 LUK lvl 11 top and a 14 DEX lvl 16 bottom

I dress like a noob because I don't want noobs with no clothes laying at my feet spamming "mesos pl0x!" I don't give anything to beggars; earn it yourself or find someone willing to give you stuff for free, because I don't believe in giving things for free.

When you get triple digit levels in this game, it's pretty hard to ride through henesy ch1 without someone trading you asking for mesos, dressing like a noob generally prevents this. You make it seem like 160+ is the universal level of ultimate maple knowledge and you calling me the idiot? lmao plz gimme a link for where it says 160+ means you are now officially pro. *waits for link*
