Alright so I had the problem that everyone else was having, the Hackshield Patch > Stops half way > Closes, Maplestory.exe is still open but isn't open. Well I have Norton Antivirus Online and basically disabled all of the features on it: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4025/5124244433_77b41d438b_b.jpg Try: 1. Disabling all features on your Anti-virus or w/e. 2. Disable your Firewall. 3. Try starting Maplestory and hope that Hackshield will patch. Also try this: 1. Do the 1 and 2 steps up there 2. Go to your Maplestory Folder and open the Hackshield folder(hshield) and open HSUpdate. COuld be the same results though.... Sorry if I'm wrong. just works for me and just putting the idea out there.

if you simply open task manager and stop the maplestory.exe process you can get it to load properly again tho... no need to disable all features of anti virus or firewall... go to your firewall, find maple story on the program list, and authorize it. then you'll be fine. if the HS doesn't load, open task manager, find maplestory.exe under process, end the process and click start game again... for me works 100% of time, I have Norton 360 online and I don't disable it to play... o.O

I don't either but I only disabled it to update Hackshield. I don't know it just seemed to work.

Well, when it didn't work, i just did task manager > processes > maplestory.exe > end the process like arthursam said =D
