What is wrong with maplestory?

What is with EVERYONE trolling about EVERY class? It seems as though that no class is good because theres always people giving everyone crap about it. What happend to old maplstory when damage did not matter and all the classes were great? Now maple is all about damage, potentials, and NX..... lots.... and lots..... of NX.... Am i the only one hee who misses or even remembers the old maplestory? (i know these threads are posted all the time)

welcome to internet gaming. and besides, there have always been elitests, and there always will be. and your memory of how maplestory used to be is not accurate, its just the difference between a good character, and a bad one, was not nearly significant as it is now.

I get crap sometimes for being an adventurer mage.. people just don't realize that some other people don't mind having sloppy damage as long as they're having fun :s

In my opinion, the old days were more about making friends and leveling with said friends, particularly in party quests. The elitists back then worried about their nx clothes and perhaps 2x week cards to out shine everybody else but these people were fewer and a lot easier to ignore. Nowadays Nexon has refined its money making machine so that the elitists can strive and multiply till they over run every server with their 100s of miracle cubes, gatch chairs, and nx outfits for all of their characters. Those who hate on classes besides their own are just trying to cling to a final bit of "togetherness" by representing their chosen profession. Most people don't really care who else is what class but maybe you have more experience with this than i do. And yes, I do miss those old days.

Well problem is alot of the so called pros lead very sad unfullfilling lives. Alot of them are adults 17~30 without too much time on their hands, sometimes unemployed, who have become obsessed with showing their damage to others. They are likely nothing great in their real lives and probably lack friends or social lives. I know because i seriously dont have time to become a maplestory god. I cant imagine having that much money and free time to waste building a video game avatar. But this breakdown of Maplestory is just sign of the times. We live in a time in where extreme arrogance and pride is common, and maplestory is no exception. Just remember most arrogance and pride is just a front for a serious problem or lack of conifidence. Just smile and nod. =)

In the past no classes was great, only Sins was great, they use to dominate and other classes use to suck, and there use to be KS wars like a lot.

You're very wrong on "times when damage did not better". Since beta, and yes I'm talking about KMS, warriors sucked and magicians were win-win. It was the times when people actually cared about 1st job advancement (when people didn't even think about 3rd), where the magic claw had the godliest damage. And yes, dits and warriors were practically bullied. Sins were gods. But yes, I do agree with maplestory getting changed. When I played back in 2003, I don't think the concept of att WG even existed. Even when the method was introduced in 2004 - 05, no-one really cared about it and it was more of a luxury than necessity. Now your char is bad if you don't own one. And remember the times when there was no such thing as dexless, lukless, strless... ah the good old times.

I didn't know every single player was trolling about every single class. No, but seriously, just because people are complaining, it doesn't mean they're trolling, and not EVERYONE is complaining. I see where you're coming from, but you shouldn't stereotype the games community because a few people aren't happy with the game's changes. I'm reading back on this post, and it sounds like I'm being rise/sarcastic. Just want to let you know, that's that's not my intent. I'm just stating my oppinion. Happy mapling.

ya i miss that stuff. but there was alot less things to do and alot less things in general in ms so of course ppl are just gonna lvl with friends n have fun n not just try to get to 200 asap.

beta -> pre-nexon was the golden years of Maple Story. I still play for fun tho.

fun is what its all about; i picked a paladin becuase i really like the moveset and animations. every now and then some people will hate on paladins... such as some of my friends lol. in short: haters gonna hate
