ijji got hacked

yep ijji was hacked some time last night not only was the main site hacked (which is now no longer hacked but is still being worked on EDIT: it is still being hacked...) but whoever hacked it also did something to reactor ijji says that the hacker might have been an ex-web master by the name of Jhang Haus < (it no longer says this which is reason to beleive it was a fake message in the first place) a video of it i and other people have decided its best to delete/uninstall reactor until it is working properly this sucks : / discuss

how is it best to delete/uninstall reactor? i have no idea how you came to that conclusion..

because if the hacker could effect the site and reactor theres no telling what he did to both and what both can/could do to your computer

That doesn't look too dangerous, it's just a JavaScript (or some script in general) issue from what I can tell, so even if you had Reactor on your computer still installed you'll be fine as long as you don't try running it. The issue is on the web server, not built into the program itself.

Also even if you connected, such a script is unlikely to be dangerous unless you tried putting in your info into the login box. By itself, it's relatively harmless. Plus it looks like the script itself is broken so I don't even know how malicious it is. As a side note it seems kinda petty for ijji to publicly put out the name of the so-called ex-web-master who caused it. They're better off privately confronting the guy rather than making such a spectacle of it.

yeah well i kinda ran it...before i knew it was hacked i didnt know it was hacked until i saw that it wasnt working right so uhhh....yep...my first reflex was to delete it/uninstall it bad idea?

walridge3 that's what i was thinking. what's the point in giving us the name of the hacker.. the only people who go on the website go to play the games that ijji has to offer, not to feel sympathetic or anything of that sort. IbanezOwner it doesn't really matter. you're just going to have to reinstall it later lol. btw are you the person who made that video?

You can never be too safe. Might as well play another game while Ijji fixes this. but why wuld the hacker do this to Ijji..and not Nexon?

[/quote] Because ijji is known for its bad: -security -quality of games -customer service(worse than nexon) -quality of staff(worse than nexon) -game updating -etc! Making it a generally easier target. The person may not have had much success with Nexon which is known for having such high security they automatically ban their own LEGIT players. They have also sued major PS's in the past which may scare off any hacking attempts.

From this thread: http://www.onrpg.com/boards/169766.html it looks like it was hacked by a group rather than an individual initially... I don't know if the site was left open for that person to exploit, or if the current message is from the hackers still and not by ijji, but regardless it's a site-only issue, as long as you don't log in the program itself will be fine and you won't be in any danger... well your account would if the hackers got to the database but I doubt it; the web server is almost always completely distinct from the database server.

At least there not greedy mother--- to put items that expire within 7 days in gachapon then when you recieve said item, you dont even get it :I (Those explorer rings event)
