Seriously Basil should do something about this

OMG. I am SO frustrated with the white page that randomly shows up. 70 percent everytime. Seriously it has been like this for 6 months. Isnt DarkWater the glitch preventor be able to fix these problems? He does nothing to fix this problem and I think mrbasil and mods dont really care about this problem. Sometimes it loads forever and doesnt work too. IT IS WORSE WHEN YOU ARE USING AN IPOD WITH A SLOW CONNECTION. Seriously do something about it. If DarkWater cant fix it or he doenst log on...cant we get a professional to fix this problem?

I would think only Mr. B really takes care of the site technical problems. The mods just surf the forums, regulates it, and bans rule breakers. I don't think they actually contribute to the technical portion of the website. But then again, this is my theory.

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to maintain a website of several thousand members with (I would presume) minimal funding and servers to keep the site running? The addition of more servers to keep the website all perfect like you want it would cost a lot for Mr. Basil, and possibly put a strain on his budget, to the point where he won't be able to keep the site up. Kid, welcome to the real world of computing and website maintenance. It costs lots of money and effort to do stuff

Happens to me all the time now a days. :{ It is probably the amount of users on the site causing it. Being that Nexon linked Basilmarket in one of their MapleTimes. It didn't happen a ton before, but now it does way too often.

Myterac I agree. If you don't like the website, and you don't want people to make websites that are so popular that its members crash the servers from time to time, then I implore you to leave. Otherwise, stop complaining unless you can think up of a better solution. (Like a bunch of the US presidents did: said they didn't want something but never gave any alternative. Don't be like that. I hate people like that.)

Darkwater hasn't been active on basil for a long time, but it doesn't matter because we do in fact report any glitches/bugs, suggestions, or any problem to mrb. He knows about this white screen glitch, so be patient and it will soon be fixed. Everyone's frustrated and annoyed by this, but it doesn't make it any better if people complain about it.

Literacy / others Thanks for the thread. The best thing you (or anyone else) can do is to submit a ticket when this happens. Explain clearly: - what page (ideally w/ url) you came from - what page you went to (ideally w/ url) - your browser name / version - time of day (ideally BT, but if not give us your time zone) I'm doing everything I can to try and figure this out but it's a difficult one. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
