They're already worthless and even if people hoard I'm willing to bet even after a few years they won't go above 5mil. Everybody and their mother has at least 3 and it only takes a few minutes to get one. The effect is disliked by most and sooner or later newer and better rings will be available.

What's the difference? Most people can easily farm it themselves, even if they can't transfer across their account. For real change, the Dark Tokens should become rare drops or only drop from specific monsters and those monsters that drop it will change each day/week.
