I don't understand someone can play MapleStory for more than like 2 years. Game's get old, and you can only have and do so much stuff in maple. And with all these new patches and updates, I don't see how you can even actually like the game after the game being changed so much. And lets be honest here, MapleStory is not the best looking game I've seen, in fact I think games like Mario 3 look better. Plus, everything and everyone is so OP it's hard to tell whats OP anymore. That's a good sign that your game is just getting stupid. Plus, this game requires NO skill what so ever. Unless you consider merching for hours a skill or pressing 2 buttons for a few hours to level up once a skill. MapleStory, by far, is one of the most addicting games I've seen though. Why? Because children (If you'd like to believe it or not, if you are under the age of 21, to me, your still a child.) like the way the game looks, how easy it is, and the people they meet on it. And it only takes one of these aspects to keep a player coming back for more. And children are so focused on their looks, (especially in their teens) that they keep buying NX, and NX is what makes Nexon happy at night. Basically what I'm getting at is I've wasted so much money and time on this game, not that theres anything wrong with wasting time, but my money is what I want back. I used to be so into this game I actually got about $150 dollars for my birthday one year, but I wasted it all on MapleStory. And at the time, I had a great boyfriend who loved and cared about me, but thanks to me not paying attention to him, and more into my game, I lost him. All I'm pretty much saying is, think about something before you spend a good $25+ dollars on something that you will probably expire in 1 - 3 months. I'm glad to say I've been Maple free for about, 4 or 5 months, I've actually lost count. And in that 4 or 5 months, I've gotten a new boyfriend, I've made double the amount of money I spent on this game in the almost 2 year course I was addicted to it, and I actually play better games, that require no money for them to be fun (other than the actual purchase of the games).

I agree with what your saying for the most part even though I'm the epitome of who you are taking a stab at. I've played MapleStory for over 4 years now, and I have taken my breaks. Sophomore year, I took a year break, then took a six month break this year once getting cancer. The game has changed a ton since then which makes the game feel no longer genuine. I still come back, though when I am bored and have no other video games to play(if you have suggestions for other online games, I'd appreciate it, though I'm thinking about Xbox. Another thing, too, is that the game is so different that my comic(on my BasilID) would be too hard for players today to follow unless they played back in the day since it references so many things from then. I would really like to continue it, though, if I found out that enough of the community wanted me to.
