British scientists have claimed to be just 10 years away from developing the first pill that cancer that kills cancer by identifying the shortcomings in the DNA. According to scientists, this 'Achilles heel' can be exploited by the use of gene therapy either in the form of pills or injections to destroy the cancerous DNA cells. Um, not sure if I should be saying this since it hasn't been published yet, but, here it goes! Chemists have found a way to fire a laser of pure CO into a certain area so that it hits only specific parts of the body. As you may know, CO absolutely destroys your cells, and is one of the contributors to lung cancer. But CO is also a natural healing chemical and can help organ transplants be accepted to the body. I'm not home right now so I know I'm missing some stuff from my notes, but here's the gist: CO also destroys cancer cells. So this laser can be fired into a cluster of cancer cells and will be able to destroy the cancerous cells.
