Ugh... not this again. Like I said in another PA thread... The movie is based on a true story. It was a police case and they were planning to release the REAL tapes, but they couldn't for obvious reasons. It was an unsolved case, so I guess they left it there. Also, the quality of the tapes weren't the best, so they remade it. The frame of the movie is based on a true story, but they put in some fake parts. However, the frame of it is true. Your choice to believe it or not, so don't reply to my comment all defensive that it isn't.

[/quote] no its not, it was directed by orel peli, and was shown at slamdance 07 before making it to the big screen. Dont know where you got all that bull from, but your sure spewing a lot of it.

not based on a true story, if you read the ending credits on the first movie, it say it is fake, they just say its based on a true story in commercials to advertise it
