Time Zone. For example: 06:10:28 Friday October 22, 2010 in America/Los_Angeles converts to 22:40:28 Friday October 22, 2010 in Australia/North. Meaning that it would be 10 PM in Australia when it's 6 AM. Notice Nexon is in CALIFORNIA.

[/quote] You're the same guy who made the thread complaining about basil's mods. If you won't stand for it, do whatever you feel you need to in order to "stand for it", but seriously if you don't like it Nexon doesn't care whether you play maple or not. So as heroic as your words are trying to be, they don't change a thing. And like other posters said, these threads are old. Yes, Australians don't get the best out of everything Nexon does but hey, it's an American based company and it's only one day a week without maple for us.

NightCodex Ok 1st calm the hell down. Now let's correct a few mistakes, MapleStory is NOT an American game its a Korean Game, it was made in Korea. GMS is just one of the servers coppied from Korea and had 1 or 2 changes so it will be more apealing to American players. Also you have a choice you can play eMS we dont have oMS(oceania) so it's right when we come home from school untill the evening. Also the IP blocks you talked about, MapleStory although "changed" it's name to North America still has a litle () on the bottom that says Global. That's because it is still Global to the poeple that don't have an MS server in their area. You, on the other hand, have a server in your area that's why it is allways saying that you can't open new accounts there. If you would have studied more instead reading a forum or 2 you wou'd have known that Korea made North America open to all the places yet to have their own MS server, Nexon Korea pretty much orderd it, so their not doing us a favor to them were equale to American players. OT:I don't mind that much about the maintnance because it's actually after I come back from practice

I wish Nexon would find a way that Server Checks and x2 events would take place at time zones convennient with ALL of the globe. ie:When Australians have their prime time,make a Server Check for Americans (Don't know what time it is in Europe/Middle East) and so on.

And about the part where you don't want to play GMS, I didn't say you have to play it I said you have a choice of playing it WE don't. And also who said I was complaining? I was correcting you, and the fact that GMS has players from all time zone doesn't mean that they are all allowed to play GMS, GMS is for the for North America and poeple who have yet had their own MS version. So the times shouldn't be suitable for all time zone just more considering towards Oceania players (instead starting the maintnance at 12 why not start it at 10?). Edit: Im talking about Pacific time, not Oceania time.

I love these server checks, allows me to complete other stuff like homework. What I don't agree with nexon is there compensation (I think that's the word) 2x for random server checks. Sometimes there are server checks other than on Wednesdays that occur during AEST, making us unable to play while the northern hemisphere sleeps. Nexon compensates their players with 2x that were sleeping through the server checks.

NightCodex : Im not arguing with you this game wasen't made for Americans it's made by Korea for Korea, because of it's high demand and a lot of countries exept Korea joining it they decided to make another Server for players all around the world, the community grew large rappidley so they had to open more Version and servers of this game. GMS was "made" for around the world players, that's why they don't only celebrate 4th of july but also the canadian birthday, and that's also why they are releasing NX cards in Aust and NZ. MS although more "helpful" for american players (especially PST time players) is not made only for them, and if they will ever make it just for Americans it will be after they release an Oceania MS, Canadian MS, Mexican MS, African MS etc. Also when your making a response while sayin "omg you never learn" "omg omg omg..." no one can and will take you serious.
