Ok I was pqing with this priest basically his damage sucked but we didnt need a attacker so no one wanted to add him and we needed 1 so I added him. We get inside the PQ and then we saw his damage so I told him when we get to the boss let us fight just heal. He tells us no Heal yourself so I just ignore we end up at the boss stage and being a bowman my health sucks and i had to keep hitting heal every sec or so the guy attacks the boss and ends up dying. So now people are saying buy your own pots blah blah blah. I just wanted to let those guys know that The reason MS made cleric priest etc was to HEAL! not to attack if you wanna be a Attacker there are tons of other class I dont know how its annoying when someone tells you to press a button if thats annoying I wonder what annoying in RL. I have no prob giving SE it helps the party out If all you need is to know that your button pressing is appreciated then I'll say thank you BYE BTW I'm Level 123 now I kept this pic of my ranger because this is my Favorite outfit

Priests weren't made to be attackers. Although it's fun to spam SR in mobs when people don't need healing, it's your job to make sure that your party stays alive. Naturally, they should still use pots in dire situations - they'd be incredibly ignorant in not doing so. But otherwise, for all of that other, not-so-lethal damage, a cleric/priest should be laying on the heal button. Allotheropinionsaremute.

This makes complete sense. WHEN YOU'RE A CLERIC AND A PRIEST. Seriously, they're made to just heal and HS. But it's sort of rude when you look back on this as a bishop and think "Wow. I was really worthless, ya know?". I understand why you were mad and you have ever right to be, he should have healed because there's no point in him attacking a boss. You should have been prepared to pot yourself (just incase, you never know what might happen) but still depend on your cleric/priest if that makes sense. It's no different than commands of: Haste, HB, SE, HS, and the sort. It's just assumed that a priest should heal at a boss. As well as dispel and all the junk. It's still rude to say MS made cleric/priest as only HEALERS. True it may be a main skill but we can also do other stuff... (Like HS... That's pretty much it until Gene :P) I see the guys point and your point. But you don't need to be rude about it. D:

I'd like to point out that not all clerics/priests/bishops are like that.

They see them as people only good for spamming Genesis.

Please don't start this. It always leads to generalizing, then the entire board is littered with these threads. Either way, stubborn Priests like that are fairly rare, as the Clerics who refuse to support don't usually make it to ~100. When you do run into those people, the only thing you can really do is kick them from the party.

So you meet one mean Priest and suddenly all of them are bad? We all know why the Priest was made, and just cause one of them is mean, you don't need to go bashing out on all the other ones.

I know but the thing is some people seem to be using them as extreme slaves. I mean, don't you guys bring HP pots? Some people have been screaming at me, telling me to heal them when I was under the state of seal...

Yes all Priest/bishop/clerix arent like this my friend is a 151 bishop and she never not once got mad at us for asking her to heal and sorry if i made you guys assume that i was talking about every priest

TS have you not updated your player status since you said you have no problem giving SE and thats a 4th job skill. I also have a priest and in pq I heal, hs, and dispell if needed. What gets me is when people die and they blame the priest! "Stupid priest didn't heal".Priests need to pot too and you can't pot and heal at the same time so you should be prepared to pot yourself if needed.
