Go out of Nautaulius until you see the two birds on top of the enterence (One map <<< from the training place). Then Hit one of the birds.

Im not 100% sure but I heard that to get the key and paper, you have to reg. attack the right bird on the big Nautilus sign in the Forest East of Henesys.
