2H Axe or 1H Axe?

So, I'm making a fighter that uses an axe(low cost), and I was wondering, whats the difference between 2H and 1H? I think 2H has more power, but it's slower weapon speed, and with 1H you can use a shield. In that matter is a shield really much of a bonus? Help pl0x.

If you can afford godly shield, then yes. 1H Before any two handde IMO. Seeing the potential's are at best ~lv.100

Be one handed for some uniqueicity. Or be zero handed if you really want to be pro =P But seriously, I'd say one handed.

Stay 2-handed until level 100~120 because it ain't worth it before since you don't really boss much but when you get to Hero, then I would recommend you to use a 1-handed axe+ a 15+ atk shield.

That logic only works for sword most 1 handed axes are the same speed as two handed axes. Going one handed on either side sword or axe is always more expensive you might spend less on an axe but your still going to be spending that 1bil+ on that sheild(even more if you cube it as well)

2Hs have more range (pre-Brandish) and a higher STR multiplier average in their damage formula (4.1875 vs. 3.875). 1Hs can come with shields. Many 1Hs are actually the same speed as their 2H counterparts (Normal)--in fact, the only Fast Axes past level 55 are the Visitors/VIPs. Cheaper? Whoever wishes to take charge of the "Choosing Your Warrior Weapon" guide really has to do some editing. Axes are actually more expensive than Swords for the same damage (i.e. DPS). Zydr0m If she could afford a godly shield, she probably wouldn't consider going Axe.

Well I can get a godly shield. And well, most one handed axe's are fast compared to the normal on 2H axe's. Well, if axe mastery affects both, I could just switch when I feel like it right? Nvm. So basically, if I can get a goldy shield, get one, if I can't, just stick to two hands? I mean I guess booster could help in this situation.... 1H axe's look kinda cooler too. :P

Yes, you can switch between both at any time, given that you didn't just attack or take in a hit. You don't have to "stick" with 1Hs or 2Hs. Sometimes you don't even need a shield to go 1H and expect to outdo that 2H Axe. If the 1H Axe is faster than its 2H counterpart, take the 1H. If it's Normal speed and you don't have that shield, you should get the 2H. I'll give you proof if you want. Booster affects both 1Hs and 2Hs, so that's irrelevant.

Yeah, I know it gets normal. But I found that the lvl 40 2H is a slow speed 0.0 So maybe I'll use my green paint brush that I have, along with a shield I already have, and use that until lvl 43, when I can use my Maple Dragon Axe. Yeah, its for the fun of it.
