So apparently axesn are = to swords now

I heard from adroxnight that axes and swords both have the same formula post bb, and that basically there is no difference in damage (other then speed) between the 2. Would anyone like to expand and confirm on this? Also, are axe and sword mastery and booster getting combined into one skill? Edit: oops typo in the title D:

And these will match the 1h swords of an equal level. Also, keep in mind that you can now freely switch between swords and axes. Dont feel obligated to stick with one or the other.

nothing to expand upon. axe and sword multipliers are the same, so only difference is the speed. if the axe and sword are the same speed, the axe will win, since it has an extra couple attack, assuming you get both sword/axe perfectly scrolled.

[/quote] Not in all cases. For example, the VIP Axe and Sword both have 118 base Watt. Both are equal to eachother.

[/quote] But with the gap between the 1h and 2h weapons only being 1.2% (previously about 5%), you only need a weak shield to surpass a 2h set up. Although that is excuding some weapons like the ST. It still holds a healthy 10% advantage.

[/quote] That is assuming the swords are the same attack most 2 handed sword users(at least the ones I know) have 14x-15x swords so even if you don't have to spend as much on a shield you still need to spend alot on your sword just to lose in a bossing situation becasues SI is so common now where 2 handed users would hold that 10% advantage.
