I'm hearing that mages are practically being quit at high levels for the 30 sec Ult. Cooldown. So, is it true that Mages are being brought down to near nothing?

From what I heard, that's the only negative thing that's going to change after the Big Bang patch. So, aside from that, mages are getting a huge revamp in power.

Not by a longshot. The problem essentially stems from lazy, self-important mages not being able to completely dominate everyone in training, map control, event hogging and the like, just because they can no longer spam one, extremely overpowered skill. However, for gaining 30 seconds of cooldown on their ultimates, they also gain a lot of improvements: • All other attacks are gaining SIGNIFICANT power boosts, most notably being Big Bang/Quantum Explosion, which becomes a beast of an attack! • Many attacks are changing in properties to be more effective training tools (IE: Angel Ray now hits 4 monsters at a time) • I/L and F/P mages are gaining Elemental Reset, giving them the ability to effectively boss like any other class without worry of elemental resistance. • All magicians are gaining skills that further augment their power beyond where it was already. • New systems for damage, defence and exp gain for all classes means much more power and much faster levelling. Big Bang's main purpose was to give players (mainly from KMS) things they felt the game needed/deserved. One of these things was proper character balance. Ultimates made mages grossly unbalanced, so the skill was given a cooldown so it could no longer be spammed. Just something to think about... KMS players felt that mages were unbalanced and wanted it fixed.

They get alot of skills buffed, and about ksers I think it might be worst after BB. Since you can't get a bishop or mage to spam ultimate to get them out of there anymore, think about it.

[/quote] But at the same time, people can't bring Bishops or Archmages to a map to KS people out. Also, leeching will be almost eliminated thanks to this. Also, since all maps and monsters are being overhauled, there are going to be many more places to train, which means there will be less crowded maps for people to KS in. |

No. Not at all They're getting uber buffed: -They will get most of their attacking skills increased in damage rate (level 1 Holy Arrow at level 33 can do 1k damage!) -Big Bang will be most notably improved after Big Bang (lol?) -Magic Claw will be able to hit 2 monsters (can mob now at 1st job) -Teleport will become an attacking skill AND a mobility skill -The cooldown allows mages to be mobile and attack with a variety of skills. This will make it more fun to train -They can still ks. Teleport to stay in front of the people, Use a 1v1 skill to kill the monster in front of them, use Big Bang (or other skills) to ks the mobs, and repeat.

I'm told that Arch Mages become top-middle tier on the DPM charts. That means we aren't the weakest anymore.... Anyway~ that Night Lord with the 180k range could hit 7mil with TT, I'm sure some Arch Mage will come along and do something crazy too~
