I recently got a PM from a guy named icydragon175. The PM was regarding a statement i made in an earlier thread (yes, about noobishforce). It occurred to me while i was swimming in my pool of schadenfreude that there were over 30 pages of people offering money and equips to noobishforce. That''s when i thought "look at all those people who are so willing to help out a guy on the internet that they probably don't know at all." That thought led to another, and I began realizing that no one helps out other people that got hacked. Noobishforce, a lvl 62 perma noob, was supposedly hacked today. I will make it clear that i will not believe a word of it until some of the gaping holes are patched up. That however, is not what this thread is about. As the thread starter states, what about the other people who get hacked? When a single guy, noobishforce, is hacked, everyone is sympathizing and willing to help him restart. How about the other people, who have had higher level accounts, with even more valuable stuff than him? xn3rfz, for instance, had a level 7x hermit hacked. A hermit, guys, not a lvl 6x sin. As most hermits do, i am willing to assume that he had some valuable stuff on his character, along with all the time he put into it. WHo helped out xn3rfz? AS far as I know, no one. THen there is icydragon175. He has been hacked recently also, but who helped him? Not one, not two, but zero people. I go about the forum and every once in a while, a person comes in with a thread about how he has been hacked, and is politely asking for help (not mesos or items, but simple help). What do you people do? 85% of you just laugh, tell them to restart, and stop begging. What is up with that? You are willing to help a lvl 62 perma noob and give him free mesos, but you won't help any other people, who have made it even farther up the ladder than he has. There is nothing wrong with not helping out, but i find it disgusting that you all only help out one person, and not the other 1xxxxxxx people that have also been hacked, and lost not only items and money, but the entire account as well. This thread was made on behalf of icydragon175, who is banned from posting at the moment, but agreed 100% with what i said.

Compare it to real life: If a tragedy happened to Pam Anderson, everyone would be freaking (Or laughing, depending on your views about her). But something like that might happen to a billion people in a 3rd world country (or anywhere), and more people are going to devote their time to helping out Pam.

i see. The hidden purpose of this thread was to find out which people cared more about, fame or those in need. I guess most people really do care more about fame.

i usually help people no matter what >.> im a pretty generous guy, but then thats usually only in my server, and i don't have a lot of people complain to me of being hacked
