At level 9 I got a quest involving me making the advancement to a Rogue and seeing Ryden. Then it occured to me: "What would happen if I tried to NOT advance as a thief?" So like if I were to sporadically pick something like Warrior instead. Anyone know the answer to this?

ummm, no, i don't know, but the gm's and admin's hav probably thought about this eventuallity and will not let you make the advancement as anything other than a thief

They will force you to become a DB.

A reason for having the separate button to make the DB is so that they get the dual blade quests from Ryden. It would be difficult to do that if you created them through the explorer button, this means Nexon probably just made it so that a Dual Blader created through the DB creation button (which is the only way) will not be able to advance as anything other than a Dual Blader.

I just checked by randomly trying to advance to a Warrior. Dances with Balrog said that my character was suspicious (lol!) and that that wasn't its path.
