Joypad help Playstation 3 controller

I would like to use a playstation 3 controller to play maple. When i plug in my ps3 controller via usb charger It blinks, maple recognizes it, I assighn buttons, and nothing happens. am I doing something wrong? I also heard I have to download something, can somebody give me a link to a safe program that I can download? Any help is apreciated.

Try hitting Default first. Same problem happened to me until i hit that button.

You need to download a SIXAXIS driver. You can easily find one on google.
