Do these type of asians annoy you?

First of all Im asian, but recently I've noticed many of these fobby asians are rude and annoying. Does anyone else feel the same way about them? They give us a bad stereotype. Tey also talk loudly in another language in public, mind that I am in Australia, and most of their breaths disgust me ==

I wouldn't say I hate them, but I most likely wouldn't be friends with them.

For whatever reason we find another culture rude and/or offensive, they can reciprocate our standpoint back to us with an equally legitimate reason (this is by comparative means, I'm not saying that the reasons can be legitimate per se) Many FOBs view ABCs (specifically citing Koreans, but many collectivistic societies have very similar linguistic trends) as absurdly rude because we don't use jeon det mal (��). For those who don't know, �� is basically a way of speaking used when addressing elders or superiors as a sign of respect (though it's somewhat arbitrary) (the English language has this a variation of this linguistic system, only to a much lesser degree). Their social customs are simply different from our own. We perceive some of their social norms as rude, but they too view some of our own social customs as crude. This is just a question of cultural differences, nothing more. Whether they're rude beyond these cultural dimensions is an inquiry of their characters individually.

I agree so much! Im asian born in australia they are so rude to people! and they act like they can do whatever they want!

yeah, there a little up themselves, but that's acceptable from where they come from, or they might just not realise shouting into someone's face isn't the nicest thing to do.

I don't see how stereotypes are different due to FOBs acting a certain way. For all I know, most negative stereotypes of Asians are of physical characteristics. I mean, of course, there's the "all Asians are smart" thing, which FOBs could add to by coming here with super intelligence, but surely you're not complaining about a positive stereotype? I don't think I've ever heard an "all Asians are annoying" one before. Conversely, what I have heard is that Asians are short, small in places, unattractive, etc. All of which is baseless in any case but doesn't change just because you're born in America. If you're born in America, do you seriously think you will, for example, grow taller or longer?

Come to New Zealand, guys! Here Asians are a minority (In Wellington, anyway) and every white person is pretty much a racist. This means FOB-like Asians do not have the guts to talk super loud or be rude. The might congregate and eat only noodles, but they are no threat! By the way, I am Asian but my friends mainly consist of white, Maori and half-Asians, and a few full (But they're not FOBs!)

We don't have FOBby Asians here. We have some that are foreign and not entirely aware of American culture, but they're all nice and generally fun to be with.
