KingFXWhats the point of it unless the monster can OHKO u? Hp pots r cheaper that Mp pots ...........
kKaltUu2 03/28/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
kKaltUu2true, its usually for ohko monsters, but u can use it when u lag or when u have enough mp eater. also it takes down the time to heal if you are fighting high dmg monsters
lmunkeyking 03/28/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT

l337n355 03/28/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
lets say if ur health goes to 0, you die if ur mp goes to 0, u can drink pots to recover it

I sometimes activates MG when I want to rush to a place. Since i'm a mage, I'll regain 80+ of MP each 10 sec. It isn't a great loss with my MP for me, so it's quite handy

with magic guard i survived 2 hits from crimson balrog on the orbis ship but i died on the third hit cuz i couldn't heal myself and i had no pots anyway...

thats exactly the point sir. that means the monsters that can "ohko" you , cannot anymore. it means that you can train on things your level peers cannot. It means, although you will spend more in mana potions, you can gain exp faster etc.... i hope that helped a little.

When I am fighting in Hot Sands, magic guard is a $ waster, because the Clangs and turtles do little enough damage that I can leave MG off, just using MP pots and make more money AND exp. Using magic guard requires the use of MP pots, doubling the cost. But, when I'm hunting in cerebes or bains, MG is a life saver, as 1 or 2 hits from those gets you into dangerous territory. $ isn't better from the monsters, but it is the drops that make up for it. Hope that helps.
ss5joshua 03/28/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
ss5joshuaI must be the one mage that refuses to use pots while I'm training (unless I'm about to die). When my mp runs out, I sit there for 5 minutes and I'm fully charged. It may take longer to level, but it saves a lot of money.

You're not the only one. That's how some of us Clerics are rich. People just try to "powerlevel" and it's sooo unpractical. I only use MP pots if about to die, or going in parties.

ya my friend chose to put his MG at only 3 and now hes pretty much screwed because he has to hide from Alishar(Ludi PQ boss) because its a OHKO against him if Alishar touches him.
JpAzN45 03/28/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
JpAzN45i think the only use for magic guard is IF AND ONLY they 1-3 hit kill you
Cheesasaurus 03/28/06 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Well w/o it Werewolves and Yetis and anything that does 600+ damage will one hit ko you. But if your fighting something weak like little grupins then sure leave it off, but if you dont master it you wont even be able to survive the ludi pq boss.
