Why is french such a hard subject?

Ugh.... i have tons of french homework everyday..... -_-" it gets annoying... i thought of french going to be fun but i guess its hell especially since im the lazy type and dont like homework.

French isn't too hard once you get used to it. It gets a lot easier quickly.

I think I have less problem with French because I come from Israel, and all the part of Female and Male objects, people and such are also in Hebrew. So I guess, unlike with People who speak only English, I have an advantage

French is easy, especially if you know English since there are a lot of similar words. The correct pronunciation might be tricky though.

Meh. I didn't think french was that hard a language, but to be honest I'm lazy as hell when it comes to learn vocabulary...I sorta got the grammar still in my head, but got no clue on any french words anymore.

I live in France right now, I feel you. The grammar is extremely difficult, especially compared to English. Living here I have no trouble with pronunciation as I'm constantly exposed to it, but the grammar part is a killer.

Homework is more dependent on the individual teacher, but in general, I've found foreign language homework (in my case, spanish), to be quite helpful in retaining what was taught, in turn leading to better class performance and a better grip on the language, important if you intend to actually use it.
