I want some information here. I haven't played for like 5-9months, Lost track, and decided to get on again and I find it fun again, Maplestory that is. So what could this hidden potential helmet have? Like is it good, Its a level 10 or 12 warrior helmet. Would it be worth getting a magnifying glass?

You can buy a Magnifying Glass from potion stores that will identify the potential the item has. Potential is basically extra stats to add on to the item, such as +3 str & +10 avoid, or +12 hp & chance to regain 4 hp or something. Lower level items are not capable of getting as good potential stats as higher level items, which is why people are recommending that you do not bother buying a Magnifying Glass for such a low level item. Also, even if it had good potential stats, a higher level item with the same potential stats would be a lot better, because the regular stats would be better.
