FF 7-10 Kingdom Hearts series. Dragon Quest series. Just the originals. Not Off-springs Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Classic :D

Earthbound for the SNES is one of the greatest RPGs I have ever played, and its sequel Mother 3 is even better in my opinion (although Mother 3 was only released in Japan. PM me if you want to play it). Also, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for the GBA was my very first RPG, and still one of my favorites.

Tales of Legendia is my favorite, hands down. It's a perfect mixture of characters, music, story, and graphics for it's PS2 platform. Really, all of the tales series games are good, but this stood out to me as the best. Mega Ten series (Shin Megami Tensai) are also pretty good. Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 are the only ones I've played from them, but I hear all are great. Final Fantasy is 'meh' in my opinion. I find turn-based games a bit more boring, but that's just me. Most people like the series. I enjoyed the Star Ocean remakes for the PSP and I need to pick up the fourth in the series remake for the PS3. Kingdom Hearts. Never really got into it, but everyone says it's good. Never got into Dragon Quest. More popular in the Eastern Hemisphere. Then there's TONS of non-series based games, or short series like Fallout, Bioshock, Dragon Age, Disega, Borderlands, etc.
