Maplestory Miracle Cube Potential Effects

Hey so when you use a miracle cube on an equip that's already a potential and it's only 2 potentials is it possible that it could go to 3 potential rows after magnifying it? Cause I know you can increase it from rare - special - unique status, does it work for potential rows too?

2 Lines will never go to 3 lines and 3 lines will never go down to 2 lines. 3 will always be 3 no matter what. Same with 2. :P

i thought it can. you have a chance to make 2 lines to 3 but you cant make 3 lines to 2

he meant with a risky scroll anyway, ive heard of bugs where 2 lines became 3 lines, but if it existed, it should be fixed by now

Yeah sorry for not making it clearer. It would suck if miracle cubes made you have to use a potential scroll :P

Is it possible for one line to go into two lines? I'm not really experienced with potential, and I don't think I've ever seen a one line potential stat. Also, if two lines can't go to three lines, does that mean if I maginify an item with hidden potential and the result IS NOT a three-lined potential, does that mean the item has no chance of being three-lined?

Alot of ppl swear its impossible, but Ive had more than 1 person tell me they've had this happen. I dont know anyone that's had it happen more than once though, and I have never had it happen. Im sure its quite a rare occurance, so rare in fact that when I made a new reverse overall and the potential scroll only added 2 lines, I made a new overall to try for 3 lines with a new scroll. Fortunately I got 3 lines on the 2nd one. Still cubing for something decent, but at least I have 3 rolls now.

It is absolutely possible to go from 2 to 3 lines. The debate is whether it can only change during a miracle cube that changes rank or can happen in the same rank.
