Hobgoblin pq glitch?

Well I made a party of 3, we all have heat bags, and when we talk to the goblin at the ice valley place, he says: "who are you? You're not the same people that were at the chief's residence, etc." anyone else have this problem?

Hoblin* and the party has to talk to shammos about making sure Rex is sealed or something, then you can talk to him at ice valley or whatever.
