Since when is posting quitting threads not allowed on basil?

There were many quitting threads and people didn't approve of them. Mr Basil made a new rule and BAM the rule was made.

It's been there for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. I don't know the exact reasons. I guess it's partly because many quitters tend to try to convert people into quitting and insult those who don't want to quit. :S

It's been that way for a couple of years because people who post quitting threads often cause a commotion on the forums, as well as "give away" their mesos/items only to not quit and cause even more of a ruckus. One day MrB decided it was enough and banned the threads. Unfortunately he forgot what exactly constituted the banning in the first place and even banned Basilmarket quitting threads.

It clearly sas im not quitting, but still giving everything away. lol. Or like "I want to start over, giving everything away".

[/quote] Afraid not.. even giving stuff away from what I know of is also against the rules. I think another factor with quitting threads and such is attracting attention.. and giving away stuff is similar. Asking for someone's items too also is against the rules. From what I recall anyway. Not heavy offenses mind you but it's not encouraged.

Sure, we can make a thread and have a few people see it before we get banned, but the point is to get the word out. It's useful for people that are actually cared for by the community,
