Hello there. Before this goes anywhere, this thread has been indirectly approved by at least one mod. The purpose of this thread is simply this: I'm looking for an artist, or artists, to do an art commission for me. If you're interested, know that there will be a preliminary meeting on both AIM and MSN (preferably AIM, but it doesn't matter which) and that I will be requesting a portfolio of your artwork from you. It should highlight your skills as well as give me an idea of your style, while keeping the amount of artwork contained within it to a minimum . Acceptable artwork is only limited to drawings; comics, doodles, etc. are all fine. Whether they are done on paper or electronically does not matter. A Photobucket folder (or any site where it is easy to look through a group of pictures) will suffice, though I expect it to look professional. I'm not looking for a specific style, per se, and I have a very open mind, so I encourage you to apply. If you have any questions, I'll answer them here. Other things will be addressed in the meeting after I gather names. If this sounds like something you're like to do, send me a PM expressing your interest along with either an AIM and/or an MSN username. Don't send me your portfolios just yet! Date change: The tentative deadline to apply is at 11:59pm PST (23:59 BT) on Thursday, September 30, 2010. On a side note: Perhaps it would be simpler if I just wrote a note of the details and sent it out and have you guys come to me to ask questions, seeing as how getting everyone together in one chatroom might be a bit tedious.

I was also hoping for the artists here to get some experience on how commissions are done and get paid for it. Win-win, wouldn't you say?

ChrisYii A commission could be described as an art job. It basically means that I'm paying an artist to create a piece for me.
