Avg detects Mal-ware on Maplestory.exe (identity theft)

well after i updated maplestory, avg internet security detected malware in my maplestory folder (ss at bottom) i scanned my computer the night before and found nothing but cookies lol so this was definitely after i updated this morning. is anyone else having this problem with other protections? or is this a false negative? Dont do anything.. Dont reformat.. Why would you? Just ignore it.. If you reformat and everything and reinstall maple it will say the same thing and then youll be mad cuz you just wasted hours re installing windows. You would be dumb to do that.. Its false. Ignore it.

If you noticed, it has focused (your AVG) onto Maplestory.exe. I have this problem, because I also have AVG (pro 9.0 series). I went in to Resident shield and added it to the exceptions list. problem was solved.

If you see no problem, dont do anything. Just incase run a scan with malware bytes and antispyware. If nothing turns up, its a false positive. AVG should be your shield against malware. Use the 2 i recommended above as removers and detecters.

The exact same thing happend to me with AVG, now I'm redownloading maple...

False positive. False negative would just be an even bigger oxymoron, meaning that it is actually a virus.
