do the new nx mounts like helicopter and the car require a mount like a hog or something, and do they increase speed?

They don't require a hog or a separate mount because they are their own individual mount. And yes, they do increase speed.

If you read the text, it says must have hog. There are others that don't require it though like the 30 day/15 day/1 year day mounts.

on the small ones they dont mention a non-nx mount whereas the others do

Green4EVERwell if you're willing to spend NX to get a mount, you could always just sell the NX and buy one of the non-nx 15 day, 30 day, or 1 year mounts
