I think it should be for 14 year olds and above. Usually anything younger than that is overly obnoxious. and if you don't like facebook or myspace then don't use it. Which is why I don't have one anymore.

[/quote] Not only that (though I think people who add their teachers on facebook are totally out of their minds)...there's also a bunch of little kids who have facebooks. I did a mentoring program my senior year of highschool where I had to go to a 4th grade class and teach them about elements of law and american govt...One day I logged onto facebook to find a few friend requests, all from 8-9 year olds. Some of them had pictures of them posing in really skimpy clothing. It was extremely disturbing.

facebook is whats pushing all services and technologies targeted at the teen market to be more social. "you can now press this to share with with your friends!" "you can now get updates on what bla bla is listening to!" Started happening recently with spotify, is kind of annoying me, lets ban it altogether :D

That sounds utterly creepy, and how do they get away with wearing that sort of clothing? How can their parents not hear about this?

Taking away Facebook and Myspace for people under 18 is like taking away Human Rights of someone. You can't just bash on an age group just because they are young and ignorant, they have the right to communicate and speak their mind to whomever they have as friends.
