iPhone w/ Case vs iPhone w/o Case

Me and my friends are soon going to order an iPhone 3GS. But, we want to order a case too. Possibly this one Is this case really protecting against cracks in the screen? Or what is the main reason to pick a case? If its mostly the looks, than I won't do it. Thanks

Just buy a case that doesn't make your iPhone look bigger than it should be by a whole lot. Also, in case you are gonna "break from jail" it, I would buy a case because Apple won't accept fixing those versions.

The case is to also protect the back from getting scratches. Looking at my case now, it has a LOT of scratches. Also, it should also protect it from cracks etc.

The silicon cases are the best ones. Just buy one of those for 20$.

He cracked his screen a few months after and the Mac Centre won't repair it

First of all, Iphone 3gs<iphone 4 because it has more functions (folders and such). But aside from that, you cant jailbreak iphone 4 right now because of the latest version.
