| Total Damage %. Att% Works off your equipment - Nothing else. That means potions, apples, echo, buffs, all do nothing to the boost. Total Damage % is calculated AFTER your regular damage is. Thus, it includes apples, echo, att buffs, stars / bullets, or arrows. Total Damage % is better. |

|
xDeza : total damage is better cause its ur attack while attack is just ur weapon attack
this guy means total damage is better because it includes your skill % multipliers while attack increase only affects the weapon att. he is right, just worded it a little weird. Edit: why do i get ninja'd more often at night than any other time of the day =[ |

| There's actually a Total Att % stat. In theory it works the same as Str/Int/Luk/Dex % and Total Damage %. In actuality, Total Damage is better by like....0.06%. Imo the difference is irrelevant. |

| Lemme explain this... total dmg is better yes.. But about total attack, people keep saying it's weapon attack bla bla.. but it aint.. it's the amount of % from your attack u see @ your stats. Btw, how i know this? i've seen it myself :p I was like wow total att it gives me so much more in range. But someone with a lower range outdmged me, so i made 10% total dmg on my red katana and lemme tell u.. it rox xD |

| I think they are the same if u are assassin.Because L7 and LL only depend on LUK and WPatt. But % all stat give ur int>>mp and dex>>acc. |

| i'm going on a different tangent here. total % seems better right, but since all of potentials buffs are additive (i.e two lots of +6% str is +12% not (1.06 x 1.06 = 12.36) you get diminishing returns on larger buffs i.e with 150% in total % you add 6% it only increases your damage by (156/150) 4% overall whereas if you have nothing in att% and a reasonable setup i.e. 170att for a warrior (pre non added att things, i.e. apples) a similar 6% on att% when you have none in there means a true (1.06, 106%) boost. so usually total % will win but it can depend on a few things. similarly total stat% or single stat% may be more beneficial than total damage%, it all depends on which one has a smaller boost. |
Total % doesn't work like that. It's literally : Regular damage * Total Damage % = Damage Versus Damage formula * [(att/10)*Att %] = Damage. Meaning a 6% Total Damage % is always a 6% damage increase. 6% Att is not always a 6% damage increase and does not affect pots / buffs that give attack, or echo. |
