Dual Problem: lack of bossing value

i have a dual blade and hes lv116 and i wonder if its worth going to lv120 with melee attks and no skills to reduce damage i wonder if its worth it to be a dual blader as a primary i was told that if i want to boss effectively, 160 is a goal lv. but thats too high and is out of reach for the ordinary mapler. so other than damage hoaring and lv mongering whats the point of funding and lving a dual blader?

1. Who wants a level 120 in a boss run, unless you want to spend 6 hours there. 2. Do Nightlords have anyway to reduce damage? Do Bowmasters have anyway to reduce damage? Are they still invited on runs? 3. Thorns. 4. If you want a character to max out at 120 due to your laziness, make a Cygnus. Btw, chew on this. Zakum Royal Guard

DB's are the fastest nonmage 4th job training class, and they have the top solo dpm, third in party. It's worth it :P Also self HB is pretty cheap now, so HP really shouldn't be a problem. (I got 8.4k HP at 151)

Zakum Royal Guard [/quote] Your second point is invalid. Those 2 classes are ranged and therefore don't (or shouldn't) take the hellish touch damage from most bosses. I'm not hatin' though. I love my DB and plan to take it all the way to 200.

I would say that late bossing is a trade off of being a db. each class has it's disadvantages and advantages. that is all.

LOL thorns has quickly rose to one of the most wanted buffs in boss runs Plus with that killer DPM we got... AND FLASH BANG (ppl love my flash bang) bossing is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from a problem. With invincibility frames, self hb, loads of avoid, your hp is barely an issue

Solar they don't need to HP wash for Horntail only thing they can't survive is the tail, which -cough- alot of classes can't survive without washing. PB hardly anyone even does so it doesn't really matter. And while on the topic of average players, you need to be lv 180 to even consider PBing for your damage to be worth anything, how many players are even above 170? Less then 5% of GMS is. After BB there'll be even less need to HP wash since all classes have an HP boost.

you become one of the three classes that can take down rgts effectively once you max mirror target. ppl love thorns. i have been invited to a couple of zruns cuz of my maxed thorns.

Defense at 120 If You're Funded = Chaos CHTP, Chaos ZHelm, Level 80 Equips with luk%, High Avoid, That's a lot of defense. More hp, high avoid, and defense. Thorns are also great. Double damage for non passive critters.

dbs are severely downgraded after bb so theres not much of a point of a db other than its pretty fun to play

well with the introduction of resistance classes and a upgrade to attack to all classes dbs no longer have the edge all the time
