+ PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
| Lately, the only "responses" I get are "Hello DrHye, thanks for submitting a ticket..." and whatever else it says. The problems with it: 1 - I don't even know what report he's talking about 2 - There's no actual response, it's just an automated message saying that one of my reports has been read, yet I have no clue what his response actually was on it 3 - It's basically a PM spam if it's not going to say anything about my report, or even tell me what my report was... Is this like an unexpected flaw in the report response system, or what? Because I remember it used to show you what your report was, as a reminder. |

| That was put in place because it's a huge hassle for Mr. Basil to respond to every report. Users were complaining that Mr. B wasn't reading their tickets (in reality he was, they just had no idea because they didn't get responses) so this idea was put forth to make users absolutely sure when and if their tickets were read. It's a little automated message you get that shows you "hey, he saw my ticket." |

| Carrot I don't really need you to dumb it down. Kevvl Well I figured that much, but I'm saying, why not add a copy of the submitted report to the PM, in order to let the user know which report has been looked at? I know I send reports, but after a few days and I get two PMs, I don't even remember which reports I sent. |

|
greenelf : Kevvl Allow mods to do it? I think that Mr. B needs to get over his fear of giving more people power :/
Tickets contain reports on unfair suspensions and issues that the mods can't handle. I am going to assume nearly all tickets are of such. So there really isn't much use to expand the mods' responsibilities.
Montblanc : Are the reported posts deleted? Because sometimes I report an obvious offense and it lingers SOOOOOO long
The mods handle the posts accordingly when they get to your report. When you report a bad post, the report gets put in a queque. There can be anywhere from 1-100+ reports in queque. If your report isn't responded to immediately it is because the mods are busy, not online, or already dealing with other reports. If there is an immediate post that needs to be handled, directly contact a mod that is online for possibly faster response. Ot: Luckily, I remember all of the tickets I submit within a certain amount of time. I would know what ticket has been looked at. |
