why Nexon lowered the NPC prices of Monster drops

s truly amazed when this happened roughly a month or 2 ago. I remebered it good, after a long hunt at the Time Temple (still Lane 1 back then) i had a few decent lvl 70 / 80 drops, so i could get some mesos to refund all the potions i used while training there. I offered my stuff to the NPC and got like between 10k and 50k for my stuff, that used to be between 100k and 500k. First i thought it was just the one NPC at the TimeTemple, but no, it was at every NPC. So why did Nexon do this ? Why did they made this logical way to make a buck in our expensive Maple life ? Mind you, a good drop (Evil Wing above avg stats would do like 5 or 6 mil on basuil market, now you can be happy if you get a few 100k for it). I have this theory, why Nexon did this. By doing thios they controle the in game money much better, the only way a player can make good money in game now is, buying or selling very good scrolled stuff. Like always, and this is a very small group of players, AND the sutff you dont get from monster drops but from gacha, the rare or the ones only gotten by gacha are now a much better way to make money. And by this way nexon get his pie off the pie because MX is needed. So , the make it short, if a common player (not one off the few very rich one with lots of extreem good scrolled items piled up) the only way to make money now is investing in Gacha items and spending NX ! What do you think about that ?

Oh. And I thought it was only because you get like 20+ drops every 10 minutes. Now that would've been some insane NPCed money.

Lol they needed to increase the drop rate for items so that you can get random items with potential on them.. if they didnt change the prices people would be getting so rich off npcing

They increase drop rates to increase the number of potential items, because of this they are promoting us to sell the stuff we find to other players not NPCs.

I strongly preferred the old system. You would think that since equipment only NPC's for 10K now, people would be lenient, and help other players out ["Here's a free equip, sir"], but no. People are just as tightass as they always were, and it's much harder to keep yourself funded to an extent. But hey, playing maplers are more equal than free maplers. EDIT: The new drop-rate isn't greatly improved over the old one. That, or im extremely unlucky. EDIT 2: There's the valid point of potential equipment. However, i still believe equipment should be harder to find, and worth much more. Clean equipment without potential is basically useless now. I would rather find less, but actually make some money off it.

You can make more money now selling potential equips then you could NPCing drops for mesos. |

at least ppl still buy stuff for the same amount(in FM). Lol fail by them. I was hunting at newties and made millions off of like a 20 minute hunting span from my store.

probably because of potential items, which changes the whole equation, so nexon's actually giving less wealthy players a chance to make more money by increasing drop rate, which increases the chances of getting a potential item w/ good potentials. Besides, no one really relied on npcing for mesos anyways, it's always just been for some scrap pot money. Now there's even more reason to go to fm and trade with other players. I also found myself to be more generous as I have really no use for non-potential equips that i find, so i tend to just drop them in town for others to pick them up.
