RANT: I can't stand my brother's

Sorry about the typo in the thread title. So recently my Mother got knee surgery done because a few years back she had an accident and had her muscle torn and the gel between her knee and her bones are no more or something. so naturally I'm the one that has to take care of her. I've been up since 5PM yesterday taking care of her non-stop and never leaving her side unless she said I could. my brother Matt had to watch her for 3 hours because I was dead tired. he randomly woke me up complaining about how much of a hassle it was to care for her, I cursed him out but as usual he just got his way and sat down playing the new Halo reach for the rest of the day. I only got about 1 hour of sleep for those 3 hours (I didn't want to fall asleep because I was worrying too much about Mom.) my brother is 23, lives at home, and hasn't had a job almost forever. but because he peaked when he was 15 and was "Hot" growing up in his teen years, it let him spoiled, selfish, and above all, a self absorbed idiot that would rather die than lift a finger for his family. but that's not exactly his fault I suppose. My oldest brother (27) came over to check on Mom and whatnot. Matt of course was too busy with Facebook and Halo to wash the dishes (The entire sink was filled up to the top) so of course I had to do it... my oldest brother stopped me and I ranted to him about how Matt is a lazy ass hat and he can't care for anyone without whining and complaining about it. so my brother then told me: Daniel: Zach.. to be honest Matt is a really big homo Me: What does that have to do with him being lazy....? Daniel: Well it means that he is basically going to burn in hell Me: Daniel shut up please... Daniel: Well it's good that you know this because he's up to the point where he doesn't care Me: ANYWAYS! what does a person's sexuality have to do with him/her being lazy...? >_>" and that's a horrible thing to say... Daniel: Well come on Zach! homo's are really effing lazy Me: Daniel your sexuality still has nothing to do with how well you work etc... :| Daniel: Okay but Zach, is he a jew? Me: What the hell? o___o He said some things a bit worse after that but I won't post them because it's just offensive... So I just told him to go down to the store and pick up what we need. and that brings us to here... /rant

[/quote] Hide them or lock them away until they actually contribute to helping your mother recover quicker. As long as they don't help you or your mother, they should not be having fun when you're losing so much of your spare time helping out your mother already. :d I think you deserve a break.

Another suggestion: Leave your 23 year-old brother alone and help your mother yourself. Then when your mother recovers, she'll know who helped her through the whole situation, you (and maybe your 27 year-old brother, dunno).

My brothers are lazy too,my oldest brother is 16 he can drive but hasn't gotten a job (I understand it takes a while but he does nothing but only take advantage of my parents to get money) My little brother is 10 years old,lazy and dumb,last time he was sitting there yelling at my mom,because he doesn't know the answer to 6x3,when i go to sleep (I have to share my room with my brothers since they are to scared to sleep alone -_-) my little brother goes "o ya i gotta do my homework" at the last min,which takes him 30min just to finish with the help of my mom.Which makes me tried just to wait for him ~_~ Lazy brothers are ridiculous (Iam like the only person who is trustworthy,responsible,and get like straight A's and B's) EDIT:Quote me please,i wanna hear your response

[/quote] I agree whats right isnt always popular but whats popular is right(with words), the word bootylicous was added to websters a couple of years ago because it was very popular at that time, so it became a "real" word

[/quote] Well I know he has had sexual relations with another man. but he's the biggest homophobe I know. and he has a girlfriend. Sunlight lol one time when I was playing MS 2 years back he grabbed my comp from me because he wanted to talk to this girl on myspace that ended up being a crazy chick that almost tore our family apart and lied to us from the very start. when he grabbed it I said: Matthew I said no I just got on maybe 10 minutes ago since you got done with it >_>" Him: Zach! this is really important! come on I need it! (He stood their staring at me and sobbing for about 2 minutes) He rarely takes no for an answer. so he picked me up, pushed me to the other side of my bed, my laptop fell down on the floor. I told him to shut up. he got really pissed off and was about to beat the crap out of me. eventually he calmed down, slammed my laptop closed, and walked out to talk to her for about 3 hours. Anyways right now Mom is sleeping because I was woken up to give her massage. and she hurt her leg trying to get up to go the bathroom by herself (She needs someone to lift her up and walk her to the restroom, if not she's in a lot of pain.) so right now I've only gotten 4 - 5 hours of sleep, and I'm all hopped up on caffeine to stay awake.

in response to the dictionary offtrack discussion i have to agree with free321123 and what he is trying to say. He means that when someone uses a word, even if it originally had a official meaning, the general message that is conveyed can be different and changes depending on how the masses use the word. for example a common word used on the internet: "epic" (i hate that word btw) on dictionary.com �adjective Also, ep�i�cal. 1. noting or pertaining to a long poetic composition, usually centered upon a hero, in which a series of great achievements or events is narrated in elevated style: Homer's Iliad is an epic poem. when people on the net say "epic" they don't mean a long poetic composition. Your brother didn't neccessarily imply that he prefers men, merely a derogatory term similar to "stupid"
