I seriously do not, I'm almost never 100% sure of anything, I can't seem to ask a girl out because if I get rejected, then it feels like she would tell all her friends and start gossip and stuff, and she may have a boyfriend, I keep getting made fun of by some guy, and I can't seem to stand up to him because I don't feel like I have the guts, if I fight him and lose, I'll be insulted a lot more, or atleast thats what it feels like. He doesn't seem stronger than me, and he seems a lot more immature, and if I think up of a good response to one of his insults, he resorts to saying things like: "Go home! Nobody likes you." Probably because he can't think up of something better, and yet... I can't do anything about it. My memory is strange, I seem to remember all the unimportant things, and forget all the important things. Whenever I get a new game that is compatible with Xbox Live or so, I always try to convince myself to keep practicing at cpu because I'm not sure if I'm good at the game, in Street Fighter IV, I only ended up playing three matches online, and thats when I decided I suck at that. On MW2, I know, I suck, but I slowly convinced myself that I should keep playing, and the only things I even DARE play are TDM, and Domination because I'm afraid I'll get pwned on any other mode, I tried out FFA, got into second place and just dismissed it as beginner's luck, and I don't want to play it again. In Brutal Legend, I got rushed the first and last two online matches I played, so I figured not to do it. Anyone have advice? (Go to a psychologist is not something I will do, as the last time I did that, it didn't help whatsoever)

Honestly? You sound like the typical wimpy nerdy kid who is into rock/metal music, video games, fast food, and hates his life. It's not impossible to change that, but you need to understand it's mind over matter when it comes to changing yourself. If you're weak-minded and cannot control your brain you won't succeed. Just stop living life scared, don't think of the consequences, rules, laws, or others opinions, just do whatever you wanna do. I don't sit there thinking "oh if i go here will i die, will i get hurt, will i get in trouble" i think is it gonna be fun? if yes is the answer then I do it. If you wanna talk to a girl, TALK TO THE GIRL. "You miss 100% of the shots you never take" is a great quote that I can apply to your situation. Are you guaranteed to not get anywhere with that girl if you go up and ask? NEVER. Seriously, I've seen some pretty ugly guys with good looking girls... It's almost insulting but you know LMAO. Don't focus on video games, focus on a sport. Start playing sports at school, make new friends, start going out, partying, live a social based life. Don't just sit in your room all day playing games lol. If people make fun of you, let them, I've been called a tool handfuls of times. Doesn't change the fact that I'm succeeding in the major goal in everyone's life: to have fun. If you listen to me and actually apply this stuff you really will live a lot happier and fun life.

[/quote] I'm 14 years old. Yes I know, High-School dating is pointless, and I don't like to play online games because I'm always under the impression that I'll fail epicly. Yes, 14 years old and I'm allowed to play certain rated M games, for anyone who asks about this.

I used to be EXACTLY like you last year. But I don't know what the heck happened, but now I feel a lot happier about things and completely sure of myself and stopped caring about other people's opinions. Maybe it is just a thing you grow out of? The only thing I can really tell you is just man up and stand up for yourself. Who cares what the people you go to school with say. [/quote] I wouldn't call myself nerdy, but everything else... does describe me somewhat besides the fast food part. I ski, but that's not a sport that people will really respect you for, as I am kind of weak. I am not ugly, if someone says otherwise then I wouldn't really care. I have no confidence, but that doesn't mean what everybody says is true. I guess, this is good advice, also, the last time I fought somebody was in preschool, in fact, maybe I have never fought anybody at all.

LOL. Practicing against cpus don't help you any. Practice with your friends. They'll usually tell you what you're doin wrong and help you play better. If not, make better friends. Have some self-confidence man

I can tell you're still fairly young and can still start sports now. Just get into something that is popular at your school dude! School is gonna be your first step to success when it comes to socializing.

Lylat You're right, I do play for fun, but unfortunately I don't find it fun if I get completely torn to pieces. Neverfo1 My friends are among the awesomest people I have ever met. Except that they don't suffer from my "I have no confidence" issue. Also, we are video game addicts, many people believe we have no lives. My friend once said: "I have a life, its just not on me." Travis Nothing popular seems to be fun. Also, my father told me that even if I wanted to play sports, nobody would want me on their team as I am not too strong or built for sports, according to him: Those athletes start to train when they are like... five, to start training at 14 years old won't get you anywhere, just forget about it. Skiing and Tennis is the only thing available to me now. Both unpopular types of sports.

At 16/17 I was 5'8" 108 lbs with a 28" waist and 5.8" wrists. By the time I was 18 I was 165 lbs, 5'8", and can wear 30" jeans now. It only takes one year to completely transform yourself. You start lifting now, you start practicing a sport for this school year, and next year you go into the sport with basic knowledge, experience, and a now muscular frame. No one will know who you are, but if you show you can keep up and aren't a woman, you'll end up getting somewhere. I started sports when I was young, and some when I was older, it doesn't matter when you start if you're 14. You can start a sport at 14 and be pro by 18 if you devote all your time to that sport. Nothing is impossible when it comes to achieving sports goals, all it takes is lots of practice to be good at any sport.
