Merchanting Guild: Forbes

| Before I make an official listing, I would like to ask basil's opinion on making a guild. I've been think about making the guild Forbes. Forbes will be a merchanting guild for the super rich. With a 50bil net worth minimum, Forbes will be the the most elite and prestigious merchanting guild in Bera. Couple rules, no hackers, noobs, dcers [will go more indepth in the listing if approved]. What I want to ask basil's opinion is would this be a good idea? Will it create classism or respect? A target for hackers? I do want this guild and the players in it to be respected and known as the elite merchants <-my intention. |

The image I hope this guild achieves is a legitimate, honest merchanting guild that is different from the ones you see in FM everyday. I know that i'm stressing "honest," but that really is the key for Forbes. @AnyDrew, I'm hoping that an individual who has acquired 50bil+ legitmately over the course of GMS maplestory's existance knows the price of every item that appears in the FM. At first I will have to start the guild with a few close super rich friends of mine, but as time goes on the members invited to the guild will think it a privilege to join. |

[/quote] @Blackmanrific, other guilds will most likely feel threatened by our presence. But unlike McDonalds who indeed have the advantage of aging and wealth, I am confident in saying there have been no guilds for the past year in Beran FM that has dominated the FM for more than a few weeks at best. In fm17 there will be little to no struggling for spots. Maybe in the future fm17 can be the new glorious fm1, but by then, hey it's too late Forbes will be too powerful to stop, the new McDonalds. @Lothaire, hopefully as Forbes wealth and respect[?] grows, we will be known throughout Bera and fm17 known. |

Thanks for the input though, handpicking members might be a good idea, just it will leave the guild small for a very long time. |

| interesting...going off word of mouth and playing off the innate hatred of hackers and merchant DC'ers...clever, but risky. Your best bet to get this rolling is to make sure you got a good set up ready in that room and make sure you advertise through smega or something a few times over the course of the day, every day. Also, I hate to say this, but if you can't compete with prices, you can't compete at all. For all the integrity of your guild, most people will still take the unethical but cheap methods. Just look at mom&pop v. walmart to see the truth in that. |
