How much do you TRUST RL Friends?

If you don't have RL friends who play MS, say so. If you have RL friends who used to play MS, say so too. So how much do YOU trust RL friends?

A lot. Enough to let them carry my equips to xfer and stuff. but NEVER give them my login info. I do however, have friends I've made in MS over the days that have just about the same trust as my real life friends.

I have 6 people that I know IRL that I play Maple with. And I'd trust all of them with my info. Most of them have it and i have most of theirs. Been playing with 2 of them since Beta together and the rest for over 2 years, But I've known all of them for 7-10years.

[/quote] You'd be surprised how easily people can turn on you if they have no real life connections. One incident, I recall, I was only in a guild for a short while, however the leader had known some of the members for almost 2 years. One day he promptly turned on the ones stupid enough to believe this elaborate scam he made based on trust. It was lol.

There's also cases where your friends are greedy and turn to scamming you.

haha, this thread cracks me up~ So.. I've known my friend Alex for about 4 years now.. Only played Maple for about 2 and a half. He knew my login info.. Yesterday i logged in after the SC to find out everything was gone... when I asked Alex why he hacked me he said "IDK" And then deleted me off his BL.. Glad i'm going to his town this weekend~ Be ready alex!

i trust them from everything from my eftpos pin code to all the cash i have in my wallet to my credit card and teaching them how to forge my signature

I trust them with my equips... but not my account. If my account ever got hacked, I would have noone to blame but myself or the hacker. If my account was shared, and was hacked, I would immediately blame the people I shared it with. Much simpler just not sharing.

[/quote] Eh, in terms of friends made in game, before actually trusting them fully, there are some conditions. I'd have to have known them for over a year in game. Also, I'll need their MSN and Facebook. Which I often get most the time unless they don't even have one. However, ever since I started playing, way back in 2005-2006, I've only been scammed with that "trust test" thing back in '07 where I met this guy for a month and he gave me an option to trade my level 7x Crusader for a 9x Hermit. At that time, I realize the significant difference of damage and accuracy a Hermit had over a Crusader. Long story short, he ran off with my crusader. Evidently, I would not let that just happen. So, I sent an inquiry to Wizet/Nexon and long behold, my character was only stolen the Mesos, but the equips were still there after a period of 2-4 weeks. Long story short, usually, I can tell over the course of a week whether or not the person is trying to win my trust for their wicked ordeal, or just want to establish a trustf(/curseblock)ul relation.
