I've seen many people say stuff like:" I wish it was the good old days" or "I wish Maplestory would be like the good old days again" To me, these are just people that try to show off saying that they've played this game for a long time. I mean, come on, if maplestory stayed the same all the time, wouldn't it be boring? Wouldn't most people quit after a year? *Edit* One more thing.. "the good old days" was very easy to hack =) *Edit 2* TWO more things i have to say 1: Newbs that pretend to be pro just copy the veterans and say "the good ol days" 2:People say that "I wish it was the good old days when there were only 4 jobs" Thats not about socializing like all of you are saying, that's game content

You do have a point. But, sometime along Maple's life, there was a lower amount of hackers, and most people didn't even know what the word 'rollback' meant. These people may be referring to these times, but I'm not sure for certain.

I get what'cha sayn, but at the same time i once played at that time. I 1st played when i was 12, i quit by 13, and then restarted at 17 (now) and back then, it was my 1st time playn, i was enchanted by maple basically, now its still fun, but that sparkle of learning the basics is gone and the simplicity is also gone, now so many thangs, and requiments, so many more players, so that increases the chances of meetin more azzhoes and hackers and scammers, back then erbody was just helpin eachother, thats just what i thnk tho

Seriously, I've played this game for quite a while(never got that far on a single character though), and I have no problem whatsoever with most changes. I welcome exp curve changes(Don't those also bring out potential for a higher max level?), and I don't see whats wrong with lots of new classes [Unless they're perticularly broken ;) ]

They refer to how Maple Story was back then... Less hacker (Actually I realized there's still lot of hacker in that day), no rollback. But seriously... Nothing stays forever..

I Disagree. Idk about you , but there was once a day when u dont enter the fm entrance and see those advertisements for meso selling websites. no one knew what a roll back is . even Server checks didnt have to be EVERY week . Hackers and scammers were minority. if u lived during those days then saw all those dupe hackers,dc hackers, roll backs,un schedueled SCs and the list goes on .... Wouldnt u miss "The Good Old Days"?

The "good old days" are so overrated. Training was harder, god mode hacks and vac hacks all over. No 2x exp and barely any good training areas compared to now. I for one, do not miss the "good old days" at all.

I take pride in being one of the oldest players on my server, Continuing to play the same character i did back in 2005. And the good old days really were fun. - Perion was the FM - Panlids were the best shield ever - Being level 100 was godly - Gaining 10% in a day was godlier then above - People ACTUALLY cared for one another - Work Gloves cost people more to scroll then they were worth if you had sold them - List goes on. Alot of the time, People say "i miss the good old days" as a novelty and as nostalgia hits.. But i think eventually everyone comes to terms and accepts the changes that have occurred since then, Be it good or bad. Accepting and adapting to those changes is what separates players

I played since beta, beta was crazy. Once the beta was over it was really fun. The people were more friendly and all around helpful. I met a ton of good friends at the start of Maple, that you could trust. The game was more about fun then. I am saying that the change is bad, I still love the game at times. It was just a lot more innocent back then. I am all up for the changes that have come around. You will never know how maple once was though without the cash shop and all the damage whores these days. We have to roll with the changes and accept them though.

if the good old days meant more hackers, ks wars at coolie zombies(forced nexon to add a effen timer lol) and slow training... there's some people who are too clingy to the past. though i agree on what you say when you said that its to show off how long they played for.
