i dont get the potential system

wait. i really dont get this potential system. i thought using a potential scroll on an identified item lets u obtain the potential. but then my friend said that potential scrolls only GIVE normal items potentials. if this is correct, then how do i get the potential bonus? enhancement?

Items can drop with or without potential, you use a potential scroll on an item without one, but its an identification scroll that shows the potential

use a magnifying glass to obtain the potential potential scrolls give normal items potential, then you have to magnify it

potential scrolls gives the item "hidden potential" you need teh magnify glass to obtain the stats

i got a gun and its potential was "10% chance of inflicting Level 3 Poison". What does lvl 3 poison mean? O.o

lvl 3 poison is what it sounds like: lvl 3 poison. xD pretty much, u get a 10% chance to poison an enemy with lvl 3 poison.

level 3 poison is the best, level 1 is the worst, i got a level 2 10% poison bow, so i made an archer XD. Its pretty good, i wish my ewand had that.
