I have a quick question about cubing..How many cubes (on average) does it take to get an item to go from rare > epic and form epic > unique? because i have cubed my shoes 40+ times (lvl100 shoes, want decent haste) and they are still 'rare.' is it just my bad luck? or do certain equipment have higher potential thresholds (alchupiz went epic after 3 cubes)? thanks for the help

Rare->Epic took me 5 cubes, and that was my only time ever cubing. Took my friend 23 cubes on one of his equips though.

Epic took me like 4 - 6 cubes, Unique should be 20+ Unless ur hella lucky

Pretty sure its random. From what I've heard, it takes about 30-50cubes to get it to Unique. You're pretty unlucky though

wow it only took me 5 cubes 2 go from rare to epic to unique... 2 bad i keep getting crappy unique stats :/

i must be, this is kind of a rant thread cuz a buddy of mine got haste on his shoes just now after 9 cubes...i have good scroll luck but bad cube luck i guess.

Took me 1cube to get my specs to epic 4% str now =D To bad is just quitted.. (blew my 110att u/h rk)

Its all about the luck I had 3 items from epic > unique within 2 cubes but my top from epic > unique took 54 cubes

I've had exactly the same problem with my reverse shoes. I've used over 50 cubes and they're still rare As for my gloves, it took 72 cubes before they became unique. X_X

Well it's really all about luck. There's nothing I know of that can affect the chance of getting epic or unique. So... if at first you don't succeed, try and try again, until: 1) you run out of money 2) you run out of patience 3) you die

I gifted my friend 6 cubes and her targa went from rare->unique o.O Maybe she had other ppl gift her cubes I didn't know about... doesn't seem possible

For those who took liek 5 cubes, was your item 3-lined potential? My dagger was 3 line potential and took about 5 cubes to get from rare>epic>unique. o_o

my gloves were epic when i revealt them after 16 cube's they were unique but i just got lucky on the epic part:P

Rare-Epic on my GDK, 46 cubes or so...
