What does Production Stimulators do?

I was wondering what those stimulators exactly do, I know it's 10% of failing, but what happens if I succeed with it? I would like an answer from someone who really know about this, Thx Edit: I am using this to make Reverse Lampion, so it's optional to put stimulators

When using a production stimulator with the Maker Skill, you can make an item have a few more stats clean than it normally would. But of course, you risk destroying the item as you make it with a 10% chance. Example: When I was making a Reverse Black Beauty (crossbow), without a stimulator it would only have like 107 att clean but with a stimulator I think it had 109 att clean or something.

So if i succeed, it's 100% gaurentee that the stats will go up, not down?

you can use it in combination with crystals/jewels to make the item you are makering have some extra stats.
