http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg8tJJw4tTk oh yeah but this was 3 years ago and no one even knows about it, not like it matters. or any of the other hundreds of videos out there. but someone burned a book! oh no! americans are going to hell! burning a book is horrible and burning a flag is just fine. 100 threads per day on the book and not one in the past week about the flag burnings? Go Middle East for burning our flag, screw us for burning your book! amiright?

The only reason the Quran burning is in the news is because it goes with the mosque being built near Ground Zero. I honestly don't see why people are making a big deal out of it though. Most Muslims aren't bad people, and America's first amendment states freedom of religion, which America is based upon. People who immigrated here came for freedom of religion (Seperatists and Puritans). I just don't understand why the people in the Middle East take their religion so seriously. I understand the burning of their book, but I don't get why they would get mad over their religious god being put in a television show. Jesus was put into South Park many times, and I don't see many Americans making a big fuss about it.

The American Flag is the symbol of freedom. If you can't burn the freedom, you're not free in the first place. I don't think this should matter. I don't think burning a Quran or any religious book should matter either but people are sensitive over pointless things.

Furthermore South Park tends to joke negatively on/with their characters, which the Muslims might find.. offensive/insulting/disrespectful? I dont know. I just think it's unnecessary, really. Why put a God in a cartoon, when you know you're gonna offend people, and when you know that they're strictly against it? However, the people from Middle East shouldnt react so agressively.
