What did you do with your first 3rd job skill?

So, you made it to the 3rd job and you just got your first skill point. You got a new skill book with new awesum skills. What do you do with that point? I always find it so hard to put it in the skill I actually should put it in. For example, with my I/L Mage i put it in thunder spear (x_x), with my outlaw i put it in gaviota. So have you ever did something like this?
