Favorite part: "A lot of new content comes from kMS (Korean MapleStory, the original), especially new classes, but we try to evaluate all content equally and bring over things we think you will enjoy the most. Once we choose which content to bring into gMS we must localize it. This process takes several months and includes translation of text, game balance changes, and code integration. Since each version of MapleStory is independent from the others, code integration is often the trickiest part. Sometimes content from other versions fits with gMS smoothly, but more often it�s like trying to push a square peg through a round hole. " OH LAWDY. Translation: Fixing all the things we inadvertently mess up is tricky. This part is funny too: "Each version of MapleStory is a unique game, with its own code base, programmers, and designers. While all MapleStory developers work for Nexon in the same office, each version has a dedicated team that works on their game specifically for their players." Just wow.

I don't get what's so funny.. They're basically just repeating everything I knew already. Translating coding is tricky and can take a long time.

You need to have a sense of working in a project with a lot of people so you can understand. You might be able to fix your thousand, or million, of lines of codes, but try to be just as efficient and fast fixing other people lines of codes.

The funny part of this isnt that these things are or are not diffucult, (they are). It's that NA doesn't do them. As far as code integration goes (note not the same as translation (doesnt occur from version to version that i know of) all you oh so savvy im a computer programmer lololololol posters). It is straightforward, and almost completely static. Even from version to version. Im not saying these things don't get done. The blog is just extremely misleading (aka untrue). Oh yeah, none of them are really "independent". They have differences yes, but it all goes back to NK. And for the one telling me to play another game, This is like the same as another thread you replied to me in, ACTUALLY READ MY POSTS. Im not hating on the game or saying maple sucks, i play and i enjoy. This blog still makes me lol nonethless.

This is funny because the only differences is the amount of glitched GMS gets, the hackers, the language (IE english) and how much they nerf everything to hell and back.
